Captures a time value (HH:MM) from the respondent using a time picker. The response is stored in HH:MM format. Commonly used to capture daily routine times (wake-up, sleep, commute) or to record interview start and end times for duration measurement. timediffof[START_TIME,END_TIME]>=10 -- interview lasted at least 10 minutes timediffof[START_TIME,END_TIME]<=60 -- interview completed within 1 hour timediffof[START_TIME,END_TIME]<5 -- possible speeder — under 5 minutes
Time is stored in HH:MM format. timediffof[Qa,Qb] returns the difference in minutes between two *TIME questions (Qb minus Qa). Always place the earlier time as the first argument.
timediffof[] may return a negative value if the two times cross midnight (e.g. start at 23:50, end at 00:10). Account for this in fieldwork scheduled near midnight.
